Final blog post

My relationship with technology has greatly changed throughout my 19 years of living. Something new comes out every day, whether it's a new console, a new phone, or even a new app; everybody talks about it nonstop.  I remember my first interaction with Technology was with my parents' iPad. When I used the iPad, I discovered the famous app called YouTube. YouTube is the most popular app of all time. Through YouTube, I learned many things that my parents or my teachers taught me. It felt like I was miles ahead of learning at the time. Now, growing up, YouTube is still popular, but shorts are becoming the new thing. I remember talking about Instagram a couple of posts ago, saying that I was where everyone gets their news now, and it's becoming more real every day. With AI  Now, everybody gets information and uses it for schoolwork. It's creating a habit that we don't need school anymore. What sucks is that we dont even know what really is consider Ai written words.

People should be grateful for technology because it can lead to many great things. Unfortunately for technology, there always is a con. Social Media has made a negative impact on the current generation. People are always on their phones now, not even interacting with each other. Snapchat, a really popular app, is being used by many teens now. It can do the same thing as messages and WhatsApp.  People are sending each other pictures of themselves, not even showing their whole face, to start pointless streaks. What is insane is that college students still do streaks. Social Media can also lead to cyberbullying and holiness. There is always a community of people who just dislike people for no reason. It has led to a lot of mental health problems because everyone in our generation tries to act the same as everyone else. I have friends who received their first phone when they were in 3rd grade. It's like they're born with one. I always begged my parents for a cell phone when everyone received one, but. Maturing, I realized that I am grateful for receiving my phone later in life because I wouldn't have learned with a phone on me. Something that is interesting is that people's job and companies are all on social media 24-7. Most of the time it can be cheaper than the original price.

Technology in school has ruined education, but with the introduction of AI, it feels like students aren't even trying in school anymore. Technology has made it easier to cheat when it comes to cheating in schoolwork and tests. For example, on a computer, you can go on other websites and try to look up the answers while taking a test because there's no one looking at you anymore. It's not like the old days, where you would look at someone else's paper and copy their answers to see if they're right. AI has even helped students cheat on papers and on PowerPoint presentations because with technology, everyone just feels lazy and is relying on AI to do the work for them. Many students have come to the conclusion that they question why we even go to school anyway. Because of AI so they could just look up stuff from home because it's easier that way. And by the time we get older and our body starts being less reliable, we have a new generation of people becoming doctors. Now they're not gonna know what to do because they rely on AI all the time to take care of people, so it's gonna become way worse for us, and we're gonna have to rely on AI to take care of us nowadays. Professors have recently started using AI detectors to see which work is clearly AI or not. However, we still don't know if these AI detectors are accurate or not because no one can possibly predict how old students write unless you can identify the patterns between each student throughout papers to see which ones are AI or not. Still, there aren't that many clues to give out when it comes to papers for AI unless it's vocabulary words that we don't know. It's also quite interesting that teachers and professors use AI to teach students, since some textbooks are outdated. It's also interesting that people are willing to pay monthly to get AI to do work for them

As someone who wants to be a good parent, I will want my Kids to not be addicted to technology. Kids only need 1 hour of screen time a day.  We will be in a generation where we won't be in a social context if people are on the internet. Who knows what access they will have in the future?
